Equity Organizational Assessment.

  • We believe the social sector must center social justice values to achieve organizational missions. Our assessment examines how racism shows up in organizational effectiveness and processes.

  • In the report, you will find an analysis of your organization’s current reflections on how oppression shows up across the core capacities crucial for your organization’s success: adaptive, leadership, management, technical capacity, and organizational culture. It examines four levels at which racism and oppression operate (personal, interpersonal, institutional, structural). It allows individuals to recognize their own role in inequality and provides recommendations for change at individual, organizational, and structural levels.  The report is paired with a 60 minute interpretation call to review the results and to help build a plan of action by prioritizing one or two things that will move the organization forward most effectively, recognizing that every organization is strapped for time and resources.

    • Guide your organization’s investments in strategic planning, capacity building, and other decision-making processes to build a sustainable and fair organization.

    • Communicate learnings to garner additional support from staff, community, funders, and donors.

    • Engage board members and staff in guided conversations on oppression in organizational culture.
